Is it time to get certain people out of our life?
God tells us from time to time to get certain people out of our life. It is for our protection. He may also reveal stuff to you about those who you need to cut off - it is for your protection. Even if you have a heart that wants to believe the best about another - We must obey God. Just as God gave jezebel time to repent her time ended- So shall the time run out for those who are devilish that tried to plant them self in your life. God revealed to you something is off.. you're like I don't want to believe that about them and you pray for them over a period of time. Than the day comes and you know it - you can't stop hearing the instruction God has given. You obey - And in return you grow and rise to another level in God. Don't mistake those whom are merely worldly or foolish with those that are devilish.
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
I will tear off your veils and save my people from your hands, and they will no longer fall prey to your power. Then you will know that I am the LORD. Ezekiel 13:20-21
Let's not forget - Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” 1 Corinthians 15:33

I just looked over the story of Balaam and the tal
I read numbers 22-24
Okay so Balaam who practiced divination, was ask by Balak to curse, destroy the people of Jacob, Israel..because Balak was afraid they would destroy them..And take all their stuff as they did their other enemies....that God gave over to them. Who previously had been in the wilderness..they set up tents in Moab...Balak..he inquired for Balaam over and over.
God told him not to curse Israel.. they are not cursed..But they are blessed. After many attempts to get Balaam to help destroy Israel..
God told Balaam to go with them but to only do as he says..to speak the word he gives and nothing else. Balaam did not seek God again before he left.. he just went and God was angry..because he didn't have his instructions.. so he blocked his path with an angel..Balaam beat his donkey 3 x for getting in his way.
The donkey spoke asking what he did wrong..he had served him faithfully ever since he had him..and than Balaam saw the angel standing in the path.. and the angel told him that if it had not been for the donkey he would of killed him.. and left the donkey alive.
**As God had sent him to be an adversary against Balaam for not listening.. He was not going to let Balaam curse Israel. Also The people of Balak were into idolatry.. divination/idolatry/false God worship..as it states in numbers.
So Balaam was able to continue..after he said he didn't know it was God stopping him with the angel.. so than he went on to build 7 altars and sacrificed 2 animals on each... than went up to a high place and sought God.. he told him to not curse Israel.. and they are not guilty of divination..and etc... this happened 3 x the altars were built and Balaam sought God and got the same answer every time.. During all this Balak promised Balaam power,riches..and honor if he would destroy the people of Israel. But at the end Balak stay obedient to God. Balaam and Balak went their separate ways.
We are not to curse whom God blesses..obey him..live... and do not follow those who worship false gods. To not make ourselves an enemy of God...don't give into satan no matter what he offers. Satan did this with Jesus the 40 days and 40 nights of fasting.. we are not to tempt God, we are not to trade our inheritance for anything in this world, man does not live by bread alone but by every word that precedes out of the mouth of God.
**This also reminds me of the story of Jonah and the whale..
With in the story of Balaam there is also a plain warning to not follow the ways of idolaters.. the amorites..and all the "ites" ending names..etc..because God is going to destroy them. As he did the others who set there selves against the living God to do evil...To curse those God blesses and to call good evil..and vice versa..
Balaam was not really of God's people.. he believed and sought after more than one God.. But was overall willing to obey God about Israel. Later on the Israelites had put to the sword / Killed Balaam son of Beor, who practiced divination when they invaded there land In Joshua 13.
***The people of Israel had already learned the hard way to not follow idols..nor make them.. in the wilderness..this is what is right before the story of Balaam it goes together well.. even though God had provided for them ..the started to complain..they started to build idols and altars to false gods.. they didn't want to wait on God..who was always faithful to them.. so he sent snakes to bite the people and they died..unless they looked on to the snake God told Moses to put on the pole..those that looked lived...
***And this is the same as we are told..that just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness...we are to lift up the son of Man Jesus..whoever looks..calls onto Jesus will be saved. ALSO when Moses threw down his snake it ate the magicians snake Ex 7.

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood
